Store Signage Improves Navigation: Superstore Implements Efficient Signage Project with Kinter

June 17, 2024

A leading superstore chain needed to improve store navigation for shoppers and was launching a mobile app to support the initiative. However, the information on the app had to be tied to physical in-store signage.

The superstore chain sourced the signage project through one of Kinter’s long-standing retail design firm partners. While both the superstore and the retail design firm had already worked with Kinter, this project was unique as it made use of our end-to-end capabilities: from custom design and production of retail hardware to kitting and fulfillment.

Large boxes with retail signage components for store navigation are sitting on the floor in a warehouse facility, waiting to be shipped.

Custom Retail Signage Solutions

During project development, Kinter’s Engineering Lab worked with our partner’s retail design team creating store signage hardware that would fit a variety of fixtures – from grocery gondolas and bunkers to clothing racks – and that could be manufactured and delivered in pieces ready for in-store assembly.

Kitting and Shipping to 4,300 Locations

When it came to manufacturing, the production timeline of the store signage hardware was coordinated with the third-party printer so all the components would be ready for Kinter’s secondary operation services. This included creating assembly instructions along with efficient kitting and shipping to over 4,300 locations.

The end result? The retailer has succeeded in their goal of improving customer experience with the store navigation app / physical signage combo and, in the process, achieved time and cost savings by working with Kinter.
